Magnetic solenoid valves

Direct mount magnetic solenoid valves according to VDI/VDE 3845 are commonly used to control pneumatic actuators.

Monostable switching functions are usually preferred so that in the case of a failure in the electrical or pneumatic system the control valve will return to a predefined safety position.

Spring return actuators are usually controlled by 3/2-way solenoids while double acting actuators are used with 4/2- or 5/2-way solenoids.
